Evidence-based Treatment for Adolescents and Adults with Eating Disorders.

Consultation and Training for Psychotherapists and other Professionals.

You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees
For a hundred miles through the desert, repenting. You only have to let the soft animal of your body
love what it loves.

I know that this work takes vulnerability. I’ll meet you there with a compassionate and sturdy presence.

Eating Disorder Recovery

Eating disorders can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, or body size. Eating disorder recovery requires a holistic and collaborative treatment approach that address all psychosocial-emotional aspects that go beyond food and body image. As a licensed clinical psychologist, I am trained to help walk you through your recovery process. I support a range of clients from a compassionate, weight-inclusive perspective. Some may be healing from a diagnosed eating disorder, and others wish they felt more at ease with food and their bodies.

  • Anorexia Nervosa (AN)

  • Bulimia Nervosa (BN)

  • Binge Eating Disorder (BED)

  • Orthorexia Nervosa (ON)

  • Other Specified Feeding or Eating Disorder (OSFED)

  • Disordered eating

  • Over exercise

  • Body dysmorphia

  • Body dissatisfaction

  • Feelings of guilt, shame, or embarrassment after eating

I have developed relationships with residential, partial hospital, and intensive outpatient treatment centers should we decide that your level of need rises above what we can work through in our sessions. I also regularly work with registered dieticians and medical physicians who monitor physical health and nutritional needs, which gives us the space to focus our attention beyond the food.

Compassion Focused Therapy

Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) is an adaptation of CBT that is backed by the latest research in the treatment of eating disorders. By centering your ability to cultivate self-compassion, we’ll address the shame and self-criticism underneath your struggle to have a positive relationship with food and body image.
